DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas... Trinity River at Liberty affecting Liberty County. For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Romayor, Goodrich, Moss Bluff, Liberty...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trinity River at Liberty. * WHEN...Until Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 26.5 feet, Roads into some outlying communities above the gage can have up to one foot of water over them. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 26.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 21.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 PM CDT Friday was 26.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 26.3 feet on 04/23/2024. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
INSTRUCTION: Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. Freezing rain is a condition where precipitation which has fallen in the form of
water droplets reaches temperatures which are below freezing and freezes upon
coming into contact
with surface objects. The result of this precipitation is a glaze of ice which
can be damaging to plants and man-made structures. A severe onset of freezing
rain which results in a very thick glaze of ice is known as an ice storm.

Hail is a form of precipitation which is recognized by large solid balls or
clumps of ice. Hail is created by thunderstorm clouds with strong updrafts of wind.
