AREAS AFFECTED: Berks; Lehigh; Northampton; Delaware; Philadelphia; Western Chester; Eastern Chester; Western Montgomery; Eastern Montgomery; Upper Bucks; Lower Bucks
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105. * WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Pennsylvania. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of extreme heat can have cumulative effects on the body and exacerbates the total impact of a dangerous heat wave. Low temperatures in the mid-70s and high humidity will not offer much relief from the heat tonight.
INSTRUCTION: Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. If you do not have air conditioning in your home or lack shelter, you can call 211 for assistance locating appropriate shelter from the heat.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
