DESCRIPTION: ...The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan WI has issued a Flood Warning for the following river in Wisconsin... Root River At Franklin affecting Milwaukee County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Root River at Franklin. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Portions of the Root River Parkway are flooded. A portion of Oakwood Road in southern Milwaukee County is flooded and closed. Some yards along the river are flooded. There is flooding to agricultural land. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 7.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this morning to a crest of 8.8 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.8 feet on 09/18/1972. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

INSTRUCTION: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Cirrostratus clouds are high, thin clouds that form above 20,000 feet and are made mostly of ice crystals. They sometimes look like giant feathers, horse tails, or curls of hair in the sky. These clouds are pushed by the jet stream and can move at high speeds reaching 100 mph.

Condensation is the process which creates clouds, and therefore it is a crucial process in the water cycle. Condensation is the change of matter from a state of gas into a state of liquid, and it happens because water molecules release heat into the atmosphere and become organized into a more closely packed structure, what we might see as water droplets.

Water is always present in the air around us as a vapor, but it's too small for us to see. When water undergoes the process of condensation it becomes organized into visible water droplets. You've probably seen condensation happen before on the surface of a cold drink!
