Special Weather Statement issued May 28 at 4:05PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO
AREAS AFFECTED: Wet Mountains between 6300 and 10000Ft; Canon City Vicinity/Eastern Fremont County; Pueblo Vicinity/Pueblo County Below 6300 Feet
DESCRIPTION: At 404 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11 miles west of Pueblo Reservoir, or 18 miles west of Pueblo, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Fremont, northeastern Custer and west central Pueblo Counties.
INSTRUCTION: If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM MDT for southeastern Colorado.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
