DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Trinity River at Liberty affecting Liberty County. Trinity River near Moss Bluff affecting Liberty and Chambers Counties. Trinity River at Riverside affecting San Jacinto, Polk, Trinity and Walker Counties. For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Romayor, Goodrich, Moss Bluff, Liberty...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trinity River at Riverside. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 134.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding continues with the boat ramp in the Deep River Plantation Subdivision in Walker County inundated. Backwater flooding up Thomas Lake in Walker County floods the boat ramp in the Green Rich Shores Subdivision in Walker County. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 134.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 132.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 AM CDT Saturday was 134.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling to 131.3 feet Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 133.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 134.3 feet on 05/14/2004. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Evaporation is the transformation of liquid into gas, and it happens because
molecules are excited by the application of energy and turn into vapor.
In order for water to evaporate it has to be on the surface of a body of water.

A fractus cloud (scud) is a fragmented, tattered cloud which has
likely been sheared off of another cloud. They are accessory clouds, meaning they
develop from parent clouds, and are named in a way which describes the original
cloud which contained them.
Fractus clouds which have originated from cumulus clouds are referred to as
cumulus fractus, while fractus clouds which have originated from stratus clouds
are referred to as stratus fractus. Under certain conditions a fractus cloud might
merge with another cloud, or develop into a cumulus cloud, but usually a
fractus cloud seen by itself will dissipate rapidly.
They are often observed on the leading and trailing edges of storm clouds,
and are a display of wind activity.
