AREAS AFFECTED: Concho, TX; Kimble, TX; McCulloch, TX; Mason, TX; Menard, TX; San Saba, TX; Schleicher, TX; Sutton, TX
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Concho, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, San Saba, Schleicher and Sutton. * WHEN...Until 445 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 141 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Brady, Mason, Menard, Cherokee, Hext, Long Mountain, Calf Creek, Saline, Streeter, London, Grit, Camp Air, Katemcy, Yates Crossing, Brady Lake, Camp San Saba, Voca, Fredonia, Art and Rochelle. - This includes the following Low Water Crossings... White Street at Live Oak Creek, South Blackburn between Adkins and 13th, Decker St. crossing San Saba River, 17th Street between Pine and College, FM 1121 crossing Onion Creek, RM 2291 crossings along Bear Creek, Hallum Draw, FM 1851 crossing Tiger Creek, South High between 14th and 15th Streets and County Road 120 crossing East Cow Creek. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Stratocumulus clouds are similar to altocumulus clouds in their
fluffy appearance, but have a slightly darker shade due to their additional mass.
A good way to distinguish the two cloud types is to hold your hand out and measure
the size of an individual cloud; if it is the size of your thumb it is generally
an altocumulus cloud, if it is the size of your hand it is generally a
stratocumulus cloud.
It is uncommon for stratocumulus clouds to produce precipitation, but if they do
it is usually a light rain or snow.

A wall cloud forms underneath the base of a cumulonimbus cloud,
and can be a hotbed for deadly tornadoes.
Wall clouds are formed by air flowing into the cumulonimbus clouds, which can
result in the wall cloud descending from the base of the cumulonimbus cloud, or
rising fractus clouds which join to the base of the storm cloud as the wall cloud
takes shape.
Wall clouds can be very large, and in the Northern Hemisphere they generally
form at the southern edge of cumulonimbus clouds.
