AREAS AFFECTED: Tarrant; Dallas
DESCRIPTION: At 655 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Six Flags Over Texas, or over western Grand Prairie and eastern Arlington, moving southwest at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Euless, Burleson, Crowley, Forest Hill, Kennedale, Everman, Rendon, Edgecliff Village, Pantego, Edgecliff, DFW Intl Airport, Dalworthington Gardens, Lake Arlington, Mountain Creek Lake, and Joe Pool Lake. This includes the following highways... Interstate 35W between mile markers 38 and 48. Interstate 20 between mile markers 433 and 458. Interstate 30 between mile markers 21 and 36.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
